Born in Petrozavodsk, July 20, 1964, graduated Medical Faculty of Petrozavodsk State University in 1987. Worked as a researcher in The Lab for Neurophysiology of Thermoreception and Heat Exchange 1987-1991, associate professor 1991-1997, professor, PhD, MD. Recipient of Gold Medal Award of Russian Academy of Sciences for 1999 for best investigation in physiology. Member of Finnish Physiology Society, Pavlov’s Physiological Society (Russia), NY Academy of Sciences.
Scientific interests: parkinsonism, muscle tone, tremor, motor units, motor control, cold shivering, electromyography, muscular performance under cooling
